Pretty soon everything will become one Google will 'know you better than your intimate partner' In 15 years’ time, computers will surpass their creators in intelligence, with an ability to tell stories and crack jokes, predicts a leading expert in artificial intelligence. Thus, Google will “know the answer to your question before you ask it.” Read More: https://www.rt.com/news/google-kurzweil-robots-transhumanism-312/ Steering wheel camera 'detects angry drivers' A concept to embed facial recognition cameras into steering wheels to detect angry or upset drivers is being worked on by researchers.A team in Switzerland said irritated drivers could be more aggressive and less attentive, and therefore assessing emotional state could improve safety. Tests of the system showed promising levels of accuracy, the team said. But one group representing the interests of drivers was not impressed. The researchers from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne said their system "learned" to identify two emotions - anger and disgust - on the face of its test subjects.Another use for the technology was said to be to detect driver fatigue by monitoring the percentage of eyelid closure. The camera was tested in both an office environment, and in a car provided by Peugeot Citroën.Facial expression recognition technology is already widely used, particularly in the video games industry. Army's new Watchkeeper drone to patrol Wiltshire skies
A drone, one of 54 bought by the Army for £850m, is to begin flying over Wiltshire this week.
It is the first time an "Unmanned Aircraft System" (UAS) has been cleared to use civilian airspace in the UK, on what is likely to become a permanent arrangement. Read More: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-26320927? CUPID drone to ‘shock the world’ with 80,000 volt stun gun

A Texas film has revealed an app controlled security drone that can zap intruders with an 80,000 volt taser dart. But Human operators still have to sanction any attack – for now. Web firm, Chaotic Moon studios, has created a drone that uses a taser instead of missiles, in what could be a policeman’s new best friend in the battle against crime. It’s called CUPID, but unlike its name, it could turn out as quite a deadly piece of kit. The name stands for Chaotic Unmanned Personal Intercept Drone and can fire a dart packed with 80,000 volts at any unwanted intruder or criminal on the run. In a video released on Saturday, CUPID fires the dart at an intern who is brought instantly to the ground. Medical staff then rushes to assistance before the video cuts out. Cupid was revealed at the SXSW Interactive Festival in Austin Texas as a concept for how security might be implemented in the future. “The drone can be deployed when an alarm is triggered. It can find a subject and send live video to the owners phone and ask if you want to authorize the subject or detain them. If you detain them, it drops into fully autonomous mode to detain them until police arrive. If need be stunning them with 80,000 volts of electricity to render them incapacitated,” the firm said in a statement. DARPA designs giant foldable satellite capable of surveiling 40% of Earth

The US Department of Defense has designed a next-generation satellite capable of observing 40 percent of the Earth’s surface at any one time. The MOIRE satellite will be able to beam high-resolution images in real time from anywhere on our planet.
The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) – the institution that comes up with new technologies for the US military – has developed the revolutionary satellite. The Membrane Optical Imager for Real-Time Exploitation (MOIRE) is made up of 18 octagonal mirrors that unfurl to form a massive eye, measuring 68 feet (20.7 meters) in diameter. From its position 35,000 kilometers above the Earth, MOIRE will be able to view approximately 40 percent of the planet’s surface. The satellite will transmit what it sees in high resolution and in real time. Read More:
